Zipped & Printed opened in 2015, while I was teaching at a high school full-time and looking for a creative outlet. Since then, my products have incorporated bright and bold prints, including African wax print fabrics, sourced mostly from US-based women-owned importers, and modern quilting cottons, sourced from women-owned quilting shops.
From pouches and bags to blankets and scarves, everything has always been handmade. As a Liberian immigrant, I’ve loved bringing wax prints together with modern prints from American fabric houses. You can shop everything Zipped & Printed online and at local events in and around Philadelphia, all handmade by me, Krystle.
I still enjoy teaching, especially when sharing quilting techniques with adults interested in bringing a modern and personal touch to this traditional art. You can find Z&P items throughout the Philly area and find me near a sewing machine, mostly in NW Philly, when I’m not vending at local events. Say hey when you do!
